Went to Europe, went to Asia for an extended period, road tripped to various national parks in the USA, road tripped coast to coast, visiting family in different areas of the country, had a lot of fun, enjoying life, not bored at all not working. We worked together at the same company both for over 20+ years and started dating after we both went through divorces (mid 2000's).
My long-haired-room-mate (long term girlfriend) and I stopped working to travel and enjoy life. I retired in my mid-50s so I still have some time I could be useful if I wanted to. That's a really good question and I get asked this many times.
